born in 1971; Dr. Susanne Kratzsch studied law at the University of Tübingen where she also obtained the degree of Doctor of Laws. She was admitted to the German Bar in 1999; She is a member of the German Institute of Arbitration (DIS), the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Club Español del Arbitraje (CEA), the Belgian Center for Arbitration and Mediation (CEPANI), the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL), the Society of Construction Law (SCL), the Bankrechtliche Vereinigung e.V., the German-Swiss Lawyers´ Association e.V. and the German-Spanish Lawyers´ Association e.V. Dr. Kratzsch is listed as Arbitrator with the Dubai International Arbitration Centre. Publications on arbitration, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and plant engineering. Talks and seminars on the aforementioned topics.
The focus of Dr. Kratzsch´s practice is mainly forensic. Dr. Kratzsch advises and represents companies, above all companies being active in the areas of plant engineering and construction and mechanical engineering, in national and international arbitration and court proceedings. She works as counsel both in ad hoc and institutional and court arbitration proceedings (ICC, DIS, Vienna Chambers, Swiss Rules, NAI) and the subsequent exequatur proceedings. Besides, Dr. Kratzsch acts as an arbitrator. Her practice comprises also advice and representation of German and foreign companies in the area of cross- border litigation and recognition and enforcement of judgements. She gives advice in the area of international monetary transactions, in particular with regard to bank guarantees and letters of credit. Another focus of Dr. Kratzsch´s practice is the representation of banks in matters of liability for investment advice and the representation of companies in national and international product liability matters.
