Member of the "Bankrechtliche Vereinigung wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Bankrecht e.V.", the German Institution of Arbitration e.V. (DIS), the German-French Lawyers' Association (board member), the German-American Lawyers' Association, the "Club des Affaires de la Hesse" and the American Bar Association. Numerous publications, in particular on the CISG.
Mr. Gaus represents and counsels German and international banking institutes in all areas of banking law, including regulatory issues. He is an instructor at the formation center of the Deutsche Bundesbank at Eltville.
Another focus of his activity is the assistance to small and medium sized corporations, including corporate clients from France. Mr. Gaus meets regularly his clients in Paris. The set up of international sales and distribution agreements are a regular topic of his speeches before audiences in businesses and chambers of commerce as well as of his lectures about unfair competition at the Academy for Marketing. Finally, the activities of Mr. Gaus include the acceptance of mandates as an arbitrator or the representation of parties in arbitral proceedings.
