born in Beirut/ Lebanon in 1961; legal studies, PhD and assistant lecturer at the University of Marburg (chairs of Prof. Dr. Bodo Pieroth – Supervisor – and Prof. Dr. Werner Frotscher); Rechtsanwalt since 1994. Member of the banking law associations "Academic Society for Banking Law e.V." and "Association for Banking and Capital Market Law". Chairman of the examination board "Certified specialist lawyer for Banking and Capital Market Law" at the Association Bar Stuttgart. Numerous publications, mainly in the field of banking law as well as lectures in the area of banking law training units.

Dr. Edelmann is a member of our Area of Expertise on Banking Law and Capital Markets Law. In addition, he represents liability insurance companies in court concerning professional liability of lawyers, notary publics, tax advisers, as well as other consultants. Furthermore, he works on a regular basis in the area of professional defence in connection with government liability and acts in legal proceedings on behalf of various medium-sized companies.
